This is the very first thing to do. Thoroughly clean the damaged area, making sure to remove dust, hair, or impurities that could make TPE bonding difficult. If the area to repair shows a stain from clothing dye transfer, using a stain remover will do the job.
Cleaning TPE can be done with warm soapy water. Then let it air dry naturally. Avoid any rubbing that could enlarge the tear or further damage your sweetheart doll’s skin.
As stated in several places on our site, drying a TPE doll should never be done with a hair dryer. High temperatures could make things worse.
Repairing a TPE tear is a meticulous task similar to a surgical procedure. We recommend performing the bonding process on a clean surface (such as a clean table). We also recommend wearing gloves to protect your hands. TPE glue is a powerful product that should be kept out of reach.
Using an applicator such as a toothpick or a small brush, apply the glue to cover both surfaces to be bonded. Make sure the skin is not under tension during the process.
This TPE glue will melt the skin of your doll slightly to completely eliminate the tear.
Caution: Excess glue can cause more damage. We recommend working methodically and precisely. Make sure to quickly remove any excess using a toothpick.

For the repair to be effective, you must allow the glue time to work (a few hours). During this step, we recommend keeping your doll completely still. Any manipulation should be avoided.
